Voting for your Board of Directors is one of the most important benefits of IBRBS membership, with your voice shaping this organization. Our Bylaws state the Election Committee is responsible for publishing and distributing Ballots to the membership, and ultimately reporting the results of the vote to the Board of Directors and membership. For 2026, seven candidates are running for one of four positions. All positions are three-year terms.
Campaigning: All Candidates and their supporters uphold the IBRBS tenets, and are permitted to campaign in person, by personal email, private messaging, and by phone. Direct or indirect campaigning via any IBRBS social media is prohibited, with the exception that one social media post will be allowed by each candidate in the IBRBS Facebook Group Candidates and supporters must follow local Chapter or group social media posting guidelines.
Voting: Applications for Board of Directors candidates were open from September 1, 2025, through November 15, 2025. For this membership year, we had ten applicants; however three have withdrawn. Ballots will be sent via email to all active members on February 1, 2026. Voting will take place between February 1 and February 15, 2026. An announcement introducing the new Board of Directors will be sent to all active members once the newly elected Directors have accepted the position, and no later than the end of that month. The new Board will be seated at the March 11, 2026, Board of Directors meeting.

Meet the Candidates: For the first time, the Elections Committee has planned a Meet the Candidates live broadcast on January 22, 2026. You can see and hear directly from the candidates as they answer questions from the committee. The broadcast will be viewable via the Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/IBRBSantas) and YouTube live (See Candidate Statement Email for Link). The broadcast will be recorded.
