The run-up to this election did hit a few snags. But in the end, we pulled it all together. Candidates were not notified as usual due to some confusion in the process. That is all straightened out now. As president and current candidate, I had to recuse myself from the process and rely on others. The organization acted fairly to all candidates once we realized that issues had occurred. Every effort was made to ensure equal access and opportunity. I will do my best to ensure that policies and procedures do not run over members as may have happened in the past.

Voting for your Board of Directors is one of the most important benefits of IBRBS membership, with your voice shaping this organization. Our Bylaws state the Election Committee is responsible for publishing and distributing Ballots to the membership, and ultimately reporting the results of the vote to the Board of Directors. For this membership year, we had five applicants, but unfortunately one of our members could not be certified. All positions are three-year terms. You must be an active full member for 2025 by February 1st to receive your ballot and vote. Look for your ballot in your email on February 1, 2025. Voting will take place between February 1 through February 15, 2025. An announcement introducing the new Board of Directors will be sent to all active members by February 18th and the new Board will be seated at the March 12, 2025 Board of Directors meeting.
