You may have heard! IBRBS and the ISC2024 Memphis Committee are throwing another party! All members of the Christmas Performer community are invited to attend ISC2024 Memphis, our next International Santa Celebration. Planning is well underway to bring you one of the best and maybe the largest Christmas Conventions ever. Mark your calendars for April 25-28, 2024 at the host Sheraton Hotel in downtown Memphis, TN. As has been our history, our brothers and sisters in the Christmas Community who may not be members are also welcome to join our IBRBS members at this terrific event.
For the first time, the ISC will be three days of exciting camaraderie and fun, as well as 45 learning workshops, the ever-popular Vendor Showcase, our wonderful Sponsors’ area, receptions, awards, celebrations, and let’s not forget some terrific entertainment. We are also pleased to announce that all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included for Friday and Saturday, with a buffet breakfast served in the hotel on Sunday morning before the last workshops and the Parade. Thursday is the day time to get to know Memphis and dine at the many restaurants on Main St, Beale St, and several Concierge hotels on your own. However, we have rented both of the two Mississippi River Boats, each holding about 150 people, for a 2-hour river cruise and a buffet BBQ restaurant. This will be a separate event ticket with limited availability. The Island Queen is ADA-accessible, with most activities as well as dinner presented on the main deck. As we did in Atlanta, we are planning top-notch entertainment for Friday evening’s dinner, and our Saturday night entertainment will be a charity benefit concert by talented Rock & Roll tribute artists performing as Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, and Elvis Presley, with net proceeds going to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We have arranged a limited number of rooms for those wishing to arrive on Wednesday, April 24th, but Thursday April 25th is the official arrival day so you can be fresh for a day of fun in Memphis and be ready for the Convention early on Friday morning. You may wish to look into staying through Sunday night so you can attend the Sunday morning Christmas Parade down historic music street, Beale St, but if you need to check out, we have made arrangements with the hotel for facilities to allow changes of outfits if you have already checked out.
The first in a continuing series of ISC Flash announcements, we will be publishing them regularly to keep you up-to-date with the information you need to plan your visit with your fellow Christmas performers. Online registration is planned to begin by June 1, 2023 and we hope to arrange a Sheraton Hotel Downtown Memphis room booking link to start about the same time. Your card will not be charged until April 2024. This host hotel, with special rates for attendees, is located at 250 N Main St with a sky-bridge over Main St, connecting the host hotel to the expansive 300,000 sq ft Renasant Center, which has convenient parking at only $10 per day underneath. Another new feature will be our inclusion in your attendance ticket purchase price of our Unable-to-Attend Refund Insurance Plan, which will help you protect your investment by offering refund insurance inclusive of most unpredictable circumstances.
