Santa’s Heart
Each year, members and their assistants submit a survey of their charitable efforts, both as a measure of hours compared to total hours performing, as well as identifying key events or activities that had a major impact upon the communities in which they live and work. IBRBS is very proud of the thousands of hours our many members continue to contribute, either pro-bono or at reduced rates, to local, regional, and national charitable organizations, and to the families and groups that might not be official organizations, but need and get help from us regardless. Our annual charitable hours’ survey is usually submitted during January through March each year. Participants usually receive their participation pins and members’ discounts letter by mid-Spring.
Thomas Carmody Christmas School Scholarship
Each year the IBRBS scholarship committee accepts, assesses, and awards up to twelve, $250 scholarships for full members to attend a qualified Christmas School, including in-person, online, and home-study programs. Christmas School scholarships, named in memory of Thomas “Tom” Carmody, our long-time Membership Officer, are a valued member benefit to grow and develop your skills as a Christmas character.
